A. G. SMALL - The applicant withdrew an application for a permit to install a propane storage tank at 8766 River Road (northeast quadrant of the intersection of Route 151 and Rt. 6 West) - property owned by Mr. John H. Falls. FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT/PIEDMONT LANDING - Mr. Massie Saunders, representing Countryside Land Company, submitted a final plat to divide 100.025 acres into 13 lots ranging in size from 4.522 to 1.633 acres. The property is located on Tye River Road. The Commission had reviewed the final plat and held a public hearing at their November meeting with a vote to postpone a decision to allow the applicant to submit the required information to the Health Department. Mr. Saunders noted that the report has been submitted and is under review by the Health Department. Commissioners voted 5-0 to recommend approval of the final plat. SITE PLAN/NELSON COUNTY SERVICE AUTHORITY - Ms. Julia Skare, Draper Aden Associates, presented a site plan for a new office facility (approximately 3,000 sq ft) to be constructed at the end of Cooperative Way in the Colleen Industrial Park. The building will be located on a two-acre parcel. Mr. Boger reported that E&S approval is pending; VDOT has noted their requirements for the entrance; and that landscaping, lighting and sign plans must be submitted for review prior to final approval of the site plan. Ms. Skare presented a revised site plan showing a new location for the entrance to the site to meet VDOT requirements and showing the proposed lighting, which will be similar to the electric cooperative's lighting. With no public comment, Commissioners voted 5-0 to approve the site plan with two contingencies: 1. compliance with VDOT and E&S requirements; and 2. receipt and approval of the landscaping and signage plans by the Planning Director.
